After starting training camp on the team’s Active/PUP roster – where cornerback Rashad Fenton and tackle Lucas Niang still remain – reserve tackle Prince Tega Wanogho was back on the training ground. . Although he didn’t take any rep, defensive end Carlos Dunlap was (finally) here, giving us our first look at him in a Kansas City uniform. But tight end Jody Fortson still hasn’t returned to full practice status – and on Thursday wide receivers Daurice Fountain and Gary Jennings also missed practice due to injuries.
Arrowhead Pride editor Pete Sweeney was among other leaders who beat reporters and television crews, watching everything that was happening. Pete’s observations have already been posted on Twitter – starting with a back to good weather.
in a 10-10-10 practice, the team goes through lighter practice and goes through 10 offensive plays, 10 defensive plays, and 10 special teams minutes. The first team’s offense is served by the second team’s defense and vice versa.

Rookie receiver Skyy Moore clarified Tuesday’s hip injury.
Asked about the hip problem from earlier in the week, WR Skyy Moore said he was fine: “I just modified it a bit, fell in an awkward way. I’m cool now, but it’s not It was just a minor adjustment.” Moore held out for the rest of that practice but didn’t miss a day and is moving well.

Moore spent time do something we’ve seen Mecole Hardman do for a long time.
Skyy Moore on sweeps: “I just like to get the ball fast. The faster you can get the ball, the faster you can get things done with it. So that’s what I love about these pieces.”

The team’s newly returned left tackle was a full participant.
Orlando Brown Jr. continued to ramp up and it looked like he fully participated in today’s light workout. Brown’s reinsertion as top team LT relegated Roderick Johnson to second team LT, with Geron Christian moving to second team RT. The expected rotations continue on Saturday.

The team’s rookie running back continued to impress.
The offensive play of the day came from RB Isiah Pacheco, who QB Patrick Mahomes knocked downfield on the sideline. It was a 50-50 ball between Pacheco and LB Mike Rose, and Pacheco fully extended and ripped it out of his grip. Impressive recruit.

But he wasn’t the only running back with work.
Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire took the first rep during the running period, followed by Jerick McKinnon, then Ronald Jones and finally Pacheco. McKinnon and Jones apparently swapped their order depending on the day.

With Fortson, Fountain and Jennings all out, the other players had chances.
WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling overcame two tough falls deep to bring the third back as he fell to the ground. Hardman was reliable all day, TE Noah Gray continued to show in the absence of TE Jody Fortson. It should be noted that WR Cornell Powell got time with the first team.

A corner half at the end of the round I have time to train.
Defensively, seventh-round CB Jaylen Watson has an opportunity against CB Trent McDuffie on the outside in the nickel. It was the fourth round CB Joshua Williams, but Steve Spagnuolo said it was just to promote the competition.

The defensive coordinator had comments on cornerbacks.
Spags basically noted that when Fenton (PUP) is ready, he’ll be back in that mix: “He’s going to come right in there and compete with that same group. He’s played good football for us, especially away . We just want to get him healthy and get him back out there.”

Several defensive backs play some games.
Spags on McDuffie: “I think he’s done an amazing job. Now we’ll probably move him around a bit too, but eventually we have to put him somewhere.”
Spags added that he liked that McDuffie had a short-term memory, bouncing back quickly from difficulties.

And finally… a note on punt returns.
Hardman continued to be joined in the punt return mix by Moore, McDuffie and WR Corey Coleman.
