Round 1: Early jab from Morales. They trade low kicks. Fugitt busy with kicks. Right next to Morales a minute later. No one is landing properly yet. Morales goes for a punch from Superman, denies a takedown attempt. Kick from Fugitt, who gets his head knocked down by a hard cross. Two minutes. A good trip inside puts Fugitt at the top of the guard. Standing over him, throwing punches. Go back down to keep. Two more minutes.

Morales trying to fire him, can’t do it. Now he rises and sweeps to his feet. Counter right by Fugitt. One more minute. Hard left hand. Another hard left on the fence. Morales tries to blitz back. Heavy series of rights from Morales. Superman’s punch met by a counter. A stiff jab appears to sting Fugitt to the bell. 10-9 Fugit.

Round 2: Morales goes for a punch from Superman as Fugitt spins. Lands straight right for Morales. Another loaded right and a stiff jab. Morales catches a kick and briefly grabs a body lock. One minute. More jabs. They trade near the fence and Fugitt finds the right hand mark. Body shot. Solid knee from Morales as they pivot. Fugitt attempts a head kick two minutes later. Morales 1-2. Fugitt’s leg kick initiates an intense exchange. He fires kicks, gets them taken.

Fugitt shoots, denied, lands a kick to the body. Counter on the left. Morales 1-2. Morales’ big combo goes body-to-head. One more minute. Fugitt rushes, levels up, no dice. Both land on the break. Morales counters as he retreats, dodging a fist that spins back. Quick cross to the bell. 10-9 Morales.

135 pounds: Ji Yeon Kim vs. Joselyne Edwards

Round 1: Edwards throws a lot of volume early. One minute. Lots of kicks. Kim looks to find her opportunities, picks up a 1-2. More kicks from Edwards. Two minutes. Kim eats a body kick, fails with a 1-2. Now she counters one with a clean right cross. Long combo from Edwards two minutes from the end.

Kick from Edwards. Not a lot of clean landing but she puts in a lot, and Kim does more moving than countering. One more minute. There is a counter hook from Kim. They trade on the fence. Nice exchanges. Edwards puts her on the fence and they trade knees. 10-9 Edwards.

Round 2: Edwards continues to control distance with his kicks. There’s a nice 1-2 from Kim and Edwards responds with a flurry of kicks. One minute. Both connect with straight rights. Both throw kicks. Kim kick, Edwards header. Two minutes later. Edwards goes for a slow wheelie kick. Side and front kicks to the midsection. Short left hook from Kim as she continues to eat kicks. Kim doesn’t eat as much but doesn’t do enough. Two more minutes.

Kick by Edwards. Big 1-2 by Kim spades Edwards. Body shot followed. One more minute. More kicks by Edwards. Kim lands a nice kick to the body and they tie up. It cancels an out at the bell. 10-9 Kim, I guess? Only significant damage.

Round 3: 1-2 by Kim to start. Left hooks as they trade. Edwards blasts him with an uppercut in return, then moves awkwardly after landing a low kick. One minute. Kim 1-3. Edwards shoots after eating a low kick and drags her to the fence. Two minutes later. Kim backtracks, but finds herself under side control. Edwards searches for a mount, then grabs an armbar as Kim sweeps. No dice. Two more minutes.

Edwards gets up when Kim gives him space, gets tied up. Jockey for position. Edwards connects at the break. One more minute. Lots of stances, no attack. Edwards falls well short with another wheel kick. Brief exchange, the two land well. They slug in decreasing seconds. Think Kim threw that away by not doing enough. 10-9 Edwards.

Final result: Edwards defeated. Kim by split decision


205 pounds: Nicolae Negumereanu vs. Ihor Potiería

Round 1: Potieria is already talking trash, landing low kicks. Two low-high plays from Negumereanu, who fires behind and takes Potieria to the fence. One minute. Short right hand from Negumereanu. A short trip almost knocks Potieiria down two minutes later. Short left hand as he forces Potieira down. Half guard. Potieria rests an elbow on her back. Two more minutes.

Potieria regains custody. Stack pass through Negumereanu, can’t recover back as Potieria stands. A single leg puts him back on top. Standing above Potieria with a minute to go. He lets it go up. Against to the right of Negumereanu. Potieria low kick. 10-9 Negumereanu.

Final result: Negumereanu defeated. Potieria by TKO (knees and punches)


170 pounds: Orion Cosce vs. Mike Mathetha

Round 1: Low kicks from Mathetha to start. Solid combinations in the central cage. More kicks stack up from a distance. Cosce lands an overhand left, then shoots against the fence a minute later. Mathetha’s knees as he defends. Two minutes later. Cosce lands his own knees. Mathetha gets double unders and knocks it down. Knocked down in turn. Cosce attempts a head-and-arm roll, no dice. Nice hip shot in side control with two minutes to go.

Cosce’s Hammerfist, not landing much. He lands an elbow, looks for the back as Mathetha stands up. A clumsy suplex almost ends with him in the bottom. Back to grinding on the fence. Mathetha attempts a head kick at the break. Nice head shot at the bell. 10-9 Cosce.

Round 2: Mathethe returning to kicks, lands a solid left hand. Cosce ties up, dodges a pitch, is taken to the fence. Jockey for position. One minute. Shoulder kick from Cosce. Elbow attempt. Two minutes. Cosce tries to level up. Separation. Low kick from Mathetha. Combination kick. Two more minutes.

Left hook from Cosce, head kick from Mathetha. Mathetha with an elbow. Cosce looks tired, getting cracked by a spinning fist while landing his own. He manages to get attached. One more minute. Cosce completely gassed, eat another elbow. He changes levels. Mathetha trying to land elbows as he fights back. He slips throwing a knee, lands a final blow. 10-9 Mathea.

Round 3: Mathetha kicks low. Left counter hook. He takes a knee, gets dragged to the fence. A minute later. A nice side drop puts Cosce at the top of side control. Half guard. Mathetha gets down on her knees and pushes her way out. Cosce attempts a lift, takes his back, chasing the RNC two minutes later. Arm triangle transition, lose it. Complete editing with two minutes to go.

Cosce tries to get the arm triangle back again, nothing to do. Now on the other side. Elbows. Mathetha tries to recover, abandons north-south. Take it back with a minute to go. Now looking to drop GnP. Half guard. 10-9 Cosce.

Final result: Cosce defeats. Mathetha by unanimous decision
