Amber was denied a request for a mistrial a week earlier, arguing that one of the jurors in the case should not have been eligible because his summons was for his father, who had the same name and lived at the same address.

After their divorce, the actor was reportedly in financial turmoil, as he sold off much of his large real estate portfolio.

In 2016, he put his four-story Venetian mansion that overlooks Venice’s Grand Canal up for sale for $10.8 million – after paying $13 million in January 2011.

While 2017 saw him sell the last of his five Los Angeles penthouses, which fetched $10.88 million, about $2 million less than the collective asking price.

And it didn’t stop there: He gave up his Kentucky ranch-style pad in 2020 for nearly half its cash value — as it only raked in $1,350,000, even though it’s worth worth reporting at $2.33 million.

While his downtown Los Angeles penthouse, which he shared with Heard, also went on the market last month for $1.76 million.
