Monkeypox is the “don’t say gay” of the left

Covid chief Dr Leana Wen is back to lecture on the spread of a contagious virus, which can only mean one thing: ignore her and all the other ‘experts’ because she probably doesn’t have anything useful to say.

Writing in the Washington Post on Tuesday, Wen said that “containing” the relatively harmless “monkeypox” virus circulating “must be a top priority for the Biden administration.” In case you didn’t get the message, Wen later wrote in the same column: “Preventing this virus from taking hold and spreading widely must be a top priority.

I think that’s about enough from Wen and the “experts”. The last time they told us what we “must” do, we purposely trashed the economy, stunted the development of an entire generation by kicking them out of school, and turned half the country into scared mask sellers. and miserable.

I don’t know how even the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are supposed to regain their credibility. Right now, the CDC’s website describes monkeypox, another flu-like illness that comes with an extra rash, in a way that suggests nearly everyone will get infected at some point. another.

According to the CDC, monkeypox can be transmitted through bodily fluids, touching an infected person’s rash, “prolonged face-to-face contact,” and even handling objects that have come into contact with a person. infected with the virus.

By my calculations, this means that about 100% of the country’s population should have the new gorilla aids by now. And yet, there have only been, according to the CDC, a total of 3,500 confirmed cases. That’s 0.001 percent of the US population.

How is it possible ? Well, because the agency is apparently run by a bunch of Anthony Faucis who lie or make up stuff to look like they know what they’re doing when they really don’t.

A study published last week in the New England Journal of Medicine concluded that the vast majority – almost 100% – of infections occur in men in non-monogamous same-sex relationships. Epidemiologist Jennifer Brown, author of the study, said the data suggests the infections “so far occur almost exclusively in men who have sex with men”.

Aside from a small cartoon of two men lying in bed together, the CDC makes no mention of this useful information. Instead, you get statements like this: “Monkey pox can spread to anyone.” Instead, you get statements from Fauci like this: “Get rid of anything that smacks of even a little stigma.”

If you didn’t learn it from the Covid hysteria, you better learn it now. Don’t expect anything productive or useful from our “experts”. And certainly don’t do what they say “must” be done to stop a virus that is crossing almost everyone without incident.
