JoJo Siwa Details Her “Raw” Encounter With Candace Cameron Bure

If you missed it, JoJo went viral this week after posting a short, candid TikTok video answering quick questions.

The only answer that caught fans’ attention was her response to the question of who was the “rudest celebrity” she had ever met, who she said was Candace.

But just flashing a picture of the More complete house When the question came up onscreen, JoJo didn’t offer fans any further insight into her past encounters with Candace.

Well, the clip quickly garnered tons of attention online, and soon after, Candace weighed in on the subject.

Sharing a five-minute video on her Instagram page, Candace began by explaining that she actually called JoJo to speak to her directly.

“I immediately tried to contact her through mutual friends, and my publicist reached out to her manager, and I DMed her because I didn’t know what happened — I didn’t know not!” Candace said.

“[JoJo] I actually didn’t want to tell myself [what had happened] because she said it was so silly, she felt bad, and that’s why it just wasn’t a big deal for her,” Candace continued. “But then she said, ‘I met you at the More complete house premiere when I was 11, and we were all on the red carpet.'”

According to Candace, JoJo told her, “I came up to you and said, ‘Can I have a picture with you?’ and you said, ‘Not now.’ And then do what you were doing and take pictures with other people on the red carpet.

Recalling their recent conversation, Candace said she said to JoJo, “Oh JoJo, I’m so sorry,” to which JoJo allegedly replied, “Yeah, you weren’t even mean, and I get it now as an adult – when you’re on the red carpet and everything happens and you get pulled in different directions. But at that time I was 11.

Candace wrapped things up by saying she and JoJo were on good terms, saying, “I told JoJo how much I always liked her because she was a good role model because of her positivity. throughout his life and career. However, per Page Six, JoJo pointed out that her “bad experience” with Candace certainly doesn’t mean she’s the “worst human ever.”

Interestingly, JoJo then named the celebrity “who made [her] dirty” like SpongeBob Squarepants — which many interpreted as a dig at Nickelodeon in light of its checkered history with the network.

In April, JoJo publicly aired her grievances toward Nickelodeon after revealing she wasn’t invited to its annual Kids’ Choice Awards.

“Many of you have asked me why I’m not at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards tonight, and the answer is very simple: I wasn’t invited. I don’t know why, but I didn’t have everything. just didn’t get an invite,” she said in a clip posted to her Instagram page.

Given that JoJo’s connection to Nickelodeon dates back years and she regularly attends the awards show, many fans couldn’t help but wonder if her change in terms of public image – with its release in January 2021 – could have played a role. part in their decision not to invite him to this year’s KCAs.

And JoJo apparently agreed with the speculation, as she publicly retweeted a bunch of posts accusing Nickelodeon of deliberately excluding her from the event due to her being gay.
